Rehabilitation after Surgery

Physiotherapy is very important after many types of surgery. After surgery, joints become stiff and muscles waste and weaken due to pain, disuse and immobilisation, and there is general pain and swelling in the area. Physiotherapy can help with your recovery by using joint mobilisations, strengthening exercises, electrotherapy, soft tissue release, dry needling etc.  We can also help you gradually progress from walking with crutches to full weight bearing.

Our Chartered Physiotherapists will help you restore movement, relieve pain, reduce swelling, regain flexibility, balance & strength and guide you safely back to your normal work, sporting and leisure activities. We will regularly communicate with your G.P and surgeon to ensure the best recovery is achieved.
